February 18, 2009
“Women in Action” is apart of the series ‘Unity in Art’, from acclaimed illustrator and artist Bobbi Miller-Moro. Founding Women Without Borders US, her love for women and mothers is evident in her art. She herself is a mother of five children, and believes empowering women and mothers can only lead to a better planet. Women are the source of life.

Women in many war torn parts of the world, and refugee camps do not get the attention to their beauty that they are. They get attention for their suffering, but in the midst of that environment they manage to take pride in their demeanor and image. In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day March 8, 2009 this calendar is a reminder to see the beauty in all women of many cultures.
Quotes from powerful women grace the colorful vibrant pages of each month of real textured cloth, mosaics, tile, reeds, and fabrics from all corners of the planet. Images of women in their natural state and being keep reminding us of our purpose here.

Join this FaceBook group and help support the end to the 45 year old ban on US trade with the state of Cuba and its people. By banning trade with Cuba and its people, the United States only hurts the Cuban people while giving Fidel Castro something to blame for the shortages and poverty that plague the nation of Cuba. We, at End the US Trade Embargo on Cuba, do not support ending the ban on trade with Cuba because we condone the human rights abuses of the Castro regime. Rather, we support an end to the US trade embargo on Cuba to help the Cuban people while, at the same time, providing them with an oppertunity to choose their own government.

Gee…why dont we just do away with MEN all together…
March 10, 2009 at 6:27 pm
This is why:
SAUDIS ORDER 40 LASHES FOR ELDERLY WOMAN FOR MINGLING: A Saudi Arabian court has sentenced a 75-year-old Syrian woman to 40 lashes, four months imprisonment and deportation from the kingdom for having two unrelated men in her house, according to local media reports. According to the Saudi daily newspaper Al-Watan, troubles for the woman, Khamisa Mohammed Sawadi, began last year when a member of the religious police entered her house in the city of Al-Chamli and found her with two unrelated men, “Fahd” and “Hadian.” Fahd told the policeman he had the right to be there, because Sawadi had breast-fed him as a baby and was therefore considered to be a son to her in Islam, according to Al-Watan. Fahd, 24, added that his friend Hadian was escorting him as he delivered bread for the elderly woman. The policeman then arrested both men.
