A Middleton man died this afternoon, a day after shooting himself and his 12-year-old son in a car parked on a quiet residential street. The father, Ryan Dutter, 36, had served in the Navy and worked as a mortgage broker and bank manager.

Charles,
Always interested in the environment, I have quite a few blogs out there and many articles I have written on the subject (including interviewing politicians). There are a few posts here-but this is not what this blog is about, but always interested in cranking it up! Suggestions always welcome.

Thank you NotMotherStillWomen! I have been secretly waiting for your percentage of woman to comment here. So 'childless women' is not what my website is about. It is not about cyclists, Tibetans, GQ men, brain surgery, the polar bears, the circus, coloring books, insects, or many other topics. You can look for your specific topic elsewhere. However! in coming up with the name, my husband and I did go round and round on the name.

We believe that there are women out there, not yet mothers- who could be contemplating over populating the planet (like your own birth did), and they may reconsider thinking there is no way they could 'have it all'.

This is for those women too. For young women, who may think that you have to give up motherhood to have it all. That is one reason.

The other, and more important reason is: drum roll please....mothers are....WOMEN FIRST! Yes! What a concept.
And because mothers experience losing their identity (you would not know anything about this-therefore your telling comment), you will see that mothers yearn for their own voice that so often gets drowned out in their children or families. This is for those women too.

Those women have contacted me by email and told me how inspirational it is to know how many women are mothers; and doing what they love in the world.

Some of these mothers also fight for human rights, are curing cancer, are discovering and innovating the very products in your own home. And they are 'over populating the Earth' too! I believe your focus should be on what is wrong with the planet, and how you can make a difference in contributing to the lives of those of us who are here and listening to your words 'notmotherstillwoman'. And no one can ever take the woman out of you-no matter what your womb is up to. Your existence is not dependent on that.

And there are some AMAZING sites about Powerful Women, just not ONE dedicated to Amazing Mothers quite like this, except for this one that I have found.

Thanks for your comment!!!

Your website should be called motherswithoutborders.us, not womenwithoutborders.us. Not all women are mothers, but it seems that childless women have no place on your website. A woman can still be powerful and have a reason for existence even if she hasn't contributed to overpopulating the earth.

I think your information is dinamic and would like to share with you some additional ideas that could crank it up a notch or two. There are environmental factor left out of the equation that should have been addressed. Otherwise, the films will remain forever shallow in substance.

Let me know if you are interested

James,

When I start to see more men supporting, promoting, empowering, uplifting mothers in their own lives and publicly-you will see it too. Women and mothers are the source of life. Denying this fact will get you exactly what you said above. You will have men that are not empowered.

So, James I would suggest you start a list too!

~Bobbi

**Interesting. I have had over 1,000 hits since I put this list up, and only two comments. One for empowering women and families (from a man), and one from 'help men' (from a man). Very interesting. For the most part I have discovered the majority of women/mothers do not think they are powerful.

Powerful Mothers? By contrast there must be Powerless Fathers who have lost everything. I don't see any sites or much support to help them, that's probably why the suicide rate amongst men is so much higher. In fact, when it comes to social matters, the evidence suggests that men can expect less sympathy, less support and more family court bias against them.
I have no problem with women gaining power so long as they represent and fight for the good of both men and women with equal vigour. Anything else is just sexism.
