Quick Bio
I am a mother and a supporter of mothers and children, having a family myself. Starting out as a young mother in an inner city, I felt first hand what it is like to feel ‘alone’ with no where to turn. After I became a Reserve Police Officer as a single mother, I discovered the true need that is behind our closed doors. Years later, after I transitioned into the Entertainment Industry, I made films to depict and show the abuses, and ills of society and people from different countries, for example a film we shot in Cuba. Having my voice make a difference with film, I also began writing.
As a activist and blogger, I voice the importance of encouraging and inspiring one another, and empowering mothers especially who will raise up our next generation. I have begun a book, ‘Having It All-Women Without Borders’. With the current state of affairs in the world, more and more I have become politically active, along with my husband. I switched to a Democrat, as a natural coarse of action.
Looking for a way to reach deeper and wider into the communities, I have realized that wherever I spend my time, has to be time well spent. Where better to make a living, but with the community to make a difference? I am certain that I cannot sit back, and not make a difference. Too many people are suffering. I learned how not to suffer anymore, and to keep passing the torch is my purpose.

From my maternal gandmother to my last child. A generation of women.
Raising children is the most important thing I have ever done. Now, as I am older I see the significant contribution I make to society with producing responsible, forward thinking young adults. Whether I knew it or not, they were always learning what to do, or not to do, watching me grow from a teen mother until now. We all have learned along the way. -Bobbi 35 years old US
If we do not stop, and think for a moment; is this the legacy I want to leave in the world? Do I even care? If your answer is yes, then it is your obligation to become the best human being possible. There is no need to hide from haters, or the irresponsible, or even the one’s that hurt you. Being strong, and learning and growing from every situation is where your power is. The best part is: you can possibly influence the very one’s that are insecure.

Join this FaceBook group and help support the end to the 45 year old ban on US trade with the state of Cuba and its people. By banning trade with Cuba and its people, the United States only hurts the Cuban people while giving Fidel Castro something to blame for the shortages and poverty that plague the nation of Cuba. We, at End the US Trade Embargo on Cuba, do not support ending the ban on trade with Cuba because we condone the human rights abuses of the Castro regime. Rather, we support an end to the US trade embargo on Cuba to help the Cuban people while, at the same time, providing them with an oppertunity to choose their own government.

Also wanted to alert you that Women’s eNews will begin a series about the lives of women in the U.S. without documents–green cards, etc. Series should begin in September. Women’s eNews is a daily, nonprofit news service covering issues of particular concern to women and we hire reporters all over the world to cover what is going on with women. We have won 31 journalism awards and I think you already know about our 21 Leaders for the 21st Century awards that we give to leaders committed to improving women’s lives.
Hope we stay in touch. Rita Henley Jensen, editor in chief.
